Time's Person of the Year?
Yo.
I just made $100 in 15 minutes! This must be what strippers feel like. :)
Actually, yesterday I won the Sandford Flemming Foundation's Computer Engineering Technical Speaking Competition. I know it's not quite like being Time's Person of the Year, but I'll take it.
I would have blogged this earlier, but my website wasn't working for a few days. I just switched over to a new web host (cyberwings). It seems pretty good so far and it cost me less than $7 a year. Thanks to DKu for letting me know about the place. I now have CGI, PHP, MySQL capabilities. Who knows what I'll do?! Mwa ha ha ha!
Also, in case you didn't know, John has a website now too. It's looking pretty good. Check it out.

Some web surfers are so odd
I was browsing through my site's usage stats and I noticed some odd things. Someone out there actually queried Google using the following terms and came up with my website: If you know anything about the way Google works, you'll know that I may have forever cursed myself to being associated with "al pacino jeans" by making two links using the term. Don't worry though, I'm a dashingly handsome heartthrob of absolutely stunning mind-blowing genius and I'm sure I'll find a way to compensate.

Confucius say...
It's past 10 on a Saturday night and what am I doing? Sitting in a computer lab trying to study. I guess it just goes with the territory. I guess complaining about studying goes with the territory too. :)
Actually, the real reason why I'm here is because I can't seem to get any work done at home. Sometimes, it's just very hard to stop procrastinating. I'm only succeeding partially as you can see since I'm writing blogs instead of integrals. I think procrastination is just in my nature. It reminds me of something I think Confucius once talked about.
I’m no expert, but it was something like this:
“People are tempted to exhibit negative qualities such as laziness and dishonesty by nature. Some people are able to resist these urges, but we will only become truly empowered when we no longer have these urges. After decades of careful mental training and by following my teachings, a person may be able to accomplish this.”
Ugh. It would be nice if I could do this in the next month so that I can study hardcore for finals.
On the bright side, I saw Attack of the Clones today. It was totally bad ass.

It's been way way way too long
On April 1, 2002, my domain name expired. It's taken me A MONTH AND A HALF to get it registered and back up again! Damn that's a long time.
My email address, , works again too.
Lots has happened. Most of it is weeks old, so I'll just write about the major details. My co-op term at IBM is over now. It was great. Now that I look back, I think it was the best co-op term I've had yet.
I should really hit the gym more often...

The original plan was to take this picture while standing on top of the cube. When I walked up to it and found out that it was about 10 feet tall though, I decided this was good enough. :)
Victor has finally decided that he's going to go to York for law school. Congratulations buddy. Of course, plans for world domination are already in the works.
I don't actually have many pictures of Victor, but this is a reasonable approximation.

I've been in Waterloo since the start of May. I've been geeking it up big time. This term, I've resolved to put much more effort into school. Studying in the library, staying awake in class, waking up at 7:30 everyday (even on weekends!), etc. It's a long weekend this week and I'm spending it in Waterloo because of the aforementioned reason. Now, I know there are people who do this all the time, but this is ME we're talking about. Ugh. It's all so exhausting. I think it'll all be worth it in the end though.
Also, unless you just crawled out from under a rock or you're one of those unenlightened ones, you know that Toronto is now in the Stanley Cup semis. Now, this may be a just a little bit premature, but I've resolved to make the trip to downtown Toronto on any night that the Leafs play a potentially Cup winning game. Drop me a line if you're interested too. GO LEAFS GO!
