Got Rice?

I bought a new computer. It's beautiful. Notice I said "it's" beautiful, and not "she's" beautiful. Unlike some of my friends, I have not yet begun to name and personify my favourite electronic items. :) To tell you the truth though, I was really close with this one. It's just so nice. It's a P4 2.6 GHz machine, with a DVD writer. It's all packaged in this metallic looking case with neon blue lights. This case makes my computer look like a PC rice-rocket. It has this see-through cover on the left side with a noise-activated neon blue light. The odd thing is, I had no idea the case was like this. I just bought the cheapest one I could find with USB ports at the front.

In other news, I found out today that I got a second interview at Microsoft. I'll be flying to Redmond in mid November. I'm kind of nervous because of what I've heard about these interviews, but I'm really excited about it too. I've had so few hardcore technical interviews during university. It should be fun! :) I also have an interview with Accenture this Friday. I've admired Accenture for a long time and it would be great to work there too. As Larry Smith would say, wish me success.

Update

I'm working at IBM at the moment at the new Toronto Lab. It's a great facility with a good working environment as well just about any form of entertainment you could possibly hope to get at work. I've been working there for about a month now so it's not so recent news. I was looking back through my archives and it seems like almost all of them start with something like, "so it's been a while since I last blogged", so I just wanted to lead with something else. I'd be curious to know if anyone is actually a regular visitor of this page. You'd think you'd get the picture by now. :)

I've chosen my courses for my last school term. It's quite scary to think that I'll be done soon. I'm really looking forward to the grad trips I plan on taking though. There will probably be a cruise in the Caribbean and trips to Europe and China. I'm probably most excited about going to China. My father tells me that his side of the family is from this tiny town near Tsingtao called Rizhao. I imagined walking through the countryside and wondering what the lives of my ancestors were like, perhaps some of the villagers I saw would be related to me. It would be a bit like that scene in Godfather where Michael visits Corleone. Stuff doesn't always work out the way you'd expect though. Apparently, that tiny village now has a population greater than a million. Damn, those Chinese are fertile huh? :)
