Westside!

California was awesome. I didn't really do much in terms of touristy stuff, but I got to spend a lot of time with Christine. She seems to be adapting to Californian life pretty well. She's adopted some of the local customs and culture (see Image 1).

Image 1: C Dogg (there are 2 g's because she's "keepin it real")

I'm just joking about the gangsta stuff of course. I just taught Christine to make the Westside sign a few minutes before I took the picture, but she really does seem to be enjoying herself in California. We spent some time in San Francisco, which is just a beautiful city.

Image 2: Christine and I @ Alcatraz. At the time I said, "I never knew it was so close. I could swim that."

It was pretty hard to leave, but on the bright side Christine's going to be in Waterloo for Gradball in about a month.

Here are some choice pics from IRS/IRC day:

Image 5: Everyone thought Mon's shirt was very cute. After 30 guys crowded around her, she wisely decided to change.

Lots of IRS pictures are available at the Gradcomm website.

IRS

IRS was great! Stay tuned for some pictures. Also, if you have any interesting pictures of me or people I know from IRS/IRC, send them over!

A busy few weeks

IRS/IRC is going to be in less than a week. I can't believe it. I tried on the iron ring that I'm going to get next week. It was awesome. I'll also be going down to visit Christine in California during our reading "week" next Thursday. It's too bad that this will probably be the only time that I see her this term.

On a totally unrelated noted, I'd like to share a valentine's day poem:

roses are red
violets are blue
all of my base
are belong to you

Heh heh. Yeah, I know it's really geeky, but I thought it was funny. I saw it on Slashdot. And no, I didn't send it to Christine. She just wouldn't get it. Use it on your significant other!
